Nimisha Priya Death Sentence: Kerala resident Nimisha Priya has been sentenced to death for killing a man in Yemen.
Nimisha Priya, who worked as a nurse in Kollengode Nagar in Palakkad district of Kerala, decided to go to Yemen to work to help her labourer parents and in the year 2008 she finally went there.
After reaching to Yemen, Nimisha worked in many hospitals and then finally thought of opening her own clinic. Maybe something went wrong here. Going to Yemen was not a wrong decision for Nimisha and neither was the decision to start her work there. Whatever went wrong happened after this decision.
Mahdi was the wrong man
Nimisha took the wrong decision of making a citizen of Yemen her partner as per the law of Yemen. Talal Abdo Mahdi was the wrong man chosen by Nimisha who started threatening her with the intention of taking advantage of her. And the situation worsened so much that God killed her by accidentally giving her an overdose of injection.
Helpless as well as innocent
Nimisha got caught in the whirlpool of circumstances, who was indirectly helpless and indirectly innocent. But the court did not pay attention to the argument of compulsion of any situation and awarded death sentence to Nimisha.

A day before, on the last day of the year, 31 December, India announced that it was determined to provide all possible help to Kerala nurse Nimisha Priya.
Statement of the Ministry of External Affairs
A statement by the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal has come out in which he has put forward the thinking of the government – ‘We are aware of the death sentence given to Nimisha Priya in Yemen. We understand that Priya’s family is considering every possible option. The Government of India is providing all possible help to Nimisha in this matter.’
Approval of Yemen’s President
This statement of the government has come after Yemen’s President Rashad al-Alimi recently approved the death sentence of Nimisha Priya. According to sources, the execution may take place within a month. Knowing this, Nimisha’s family is in shock and it seems that there is very little time to save her.
